Delta County lies at the confluence of the Gunnison and Uncompahgre rivers on Colorado's Western Slope, with elevations ranging from 4,600 to 10,000 feet. The county features river valleys suitable for agriculture surrounded by mesas and foothills of the West Elk Mountains.
