What We Collect

Information You Provide

If you contact us by email, we receive whatever information you choose to include in your message (name, email address, details about your operation). We use this solely to respond to your inquiry.

Screener Tool

The eligibility screener asks questions about your operation type, size, location, and experience level. Your screener responses are not stored, transmitted, or saved anywhere. The screener runs entirely in your browser. When you close the page, the information is gone.

At the end of the screener, you may optionally enter your email address to receive deadline reminders and program updates. If you do, we store your email address and the state you selected, solely for the purpose of sending relevant deadline notifications. We do not share your email with third parties or use it for any other purpose. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Navigator Pulse

Navigator Pulse lets you customize your daily briefing by entering settings about your operation. This information is stored locally in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers as of March 2026. If we introduce features that store your settings on our servers, we will update this policy before that change takes effect. We will not retroactively reduce your privacy protections.

We may use aggregated, anonymized information about how Pulse is used to improve our tools and develop new features. This aggregate data cannot identify you or your specific operation.

Automatically Collected Information

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-respecting analytics service that does not use cookies or track individual users. It provides us with aggregate information about page views, visit counts, and referral sources, not individual user behavior.

Our hosting provider may also automatically collect basic server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. This is standard web infrastructure, not targeted tracking. We do not use this data for marketing or profiling.

Local Storage

As of March 2026, this Site uses browser local storage to save your Navigator Pulse settings on your device. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.

This Site does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

Third-Party Services

This Site may use the following third-party services:

• Netlify: website hosting
• Cloudflare Web Analytics: privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics
• Google Fonts: to load typefaces used on the Site (subject to Google's privacy policy)
• Public data APIs: we fetch weather, drought, stream, and market data from public sources (NOAA, USGS, USDM, CME Group) to display in Navigator Pulse. These requests are made from your browser and are subject to those services' privacy policies.

We do not use advertising networks, social media tracking pixels, or data brokers.

External Links

This Site links to government websites (USDA, NRCS, FSA) and other external resources. These sites have their own privacy policies that we do not control. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external site you visit.

Children's Privacy

This Site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Your Rights

If you have contacted us by email and would like us to delete your correspondence, email us at hello@farmersnavigator.com and we will do so promptly.

Your Navigator Pulse settings are stored on your device. You can clear them at any time through your browser settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as we add features to the Site. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We will not retroactively reduce your privacy protections without notice.
